Featured Shore Excursion: the Medieval Burgs of Latium Region and its Lakes

This cruise tour will be dedicated to some of the most enchanting Medieval Burgs of Latium Region coupled with a Naturalistic itinerary seeing two Vulcanic lakes, Bracciano Lake and Lake Vico. We will leave Civitavecchia and drive by Monte Romano, Vetralla, stop in Viterbo for a insight of its marvellous Medieval Burg (San Pellegrino Quarter) then onto Lake Vico, Ronciglione, Sutri, Lake Bracciano and its picturesque town & Castle, Ceri and then back to the Rome Port (Rome Civitavecchia).

Our driver will pick you up at Rome Port (Civitavecchia pier) coupled with your assigned private English speaking guide on early morning and will lead to the Medieval Burgs of the Lazio Region. No other people in the tour, your guide will be just for your private party or group. This is a private shore tour!

If I will be available on the chosen date, (myself, Cristiano Pellegrini), I will be personally taking care of you. Otherwise, either one of my family (my father Sandro or my brother Federico) or, should they be already booked, another valid and professional full English speaking guide will be taking care of your family cruise or cruise group.

You will have your private English tourist guide for appx. 8-9 hours of full day guided tour, and appx. 11 hours our private driver. At 04:45 pm appx. (pending on your ship departure), you will go back to the Rome port (Civitaecchia Pier) with the driver only.

The most famous attraction of Cerveteri is the "Necropoli della Banditaccia" (amongs other in the area), which has been declared by UNESCO a World Heritage Site. It covers an area of 400 ha (988 acres) and only 10 ha can be visited, covering a total of 1.000 tombs, often housed in characteristic mounds.

Cerveteri is the largest ancient necropolis in the Mediterranean area, while the one of Tarquinia has the best fresco walls in its tombs in all over the Mediterranean Countries.

As of 2004, the Etruscan Necropolis of both Cerveteri and Tarquinia have been inscribed by the UNESCO as Sites of Wolrd Heritage.
