The Vatican Museums are the third largest collection in the Wolrd with appx. 4 miles (7 km) of galleries. You Vatican Guide, Cristiano Pellegrini, will guide your shore trip to the hidden places of the Vatican City where most of the people don't know they exist.

This Vatican cruise tour is addressed to those who want fully appreciate the best Museum in Rome owned by the Catholic Church. Most of the treasures of Ancient Rome are in fact placed inside the Vatican Museums since 1506.

Our driver will pick you up at Rome Port (Civitavecchia pier) on early morning and will lead to Rome where you will meet your assigned private English speaking guide. No other people in the tour, your guide will be just for your private party or group. This is a private shore tour to the Vatican!

Convenient pick-up and drop off, right at Rome pier by one of our English speaking drivers who will have a sign showing your name(s) or the name of your cruise group.
You will have your private English tourist guide for appx. 8-9 hours of full day guided tour at the Vatican City, and appx. 11 hours our private driver. At 04:45 pm appx. (pending on your ship departure), you will go back to the Rome pier with the driver only.

Important NOTES to the Vatican Cruise

1. This Cruise tour to the Vatican City can be operated neither on Sundays (The Vatican Museums are closed) nor on the Vatican festivities.

2. Vatican Fiest Days, Year 2009 :
02/11; 03/19; 04/13; 05/01; 05/21; 06/11; 06/29; 08/15; 08/12.

3. The last Sundays of each month the Vatican Museums are open and free and therefore they cannot accept any reservation. This means that the lines are worse than ever. Plus, the Museum Vatican are opn only for the morning and in St. Peter's Basilica on Sundays tours are not allowed.

4. No shorts for gentlemen or sleeveless for women are accepted in the Vatican, whose glad to receive its visitors properly attired. For the women's skirts, they must be under the knees.

Christian Cruise - Cruise Excursion to the Vatican: The Vatican Gardens

Do you want us to include the Vatican Gardens in this Rome Cruise Tour?

The tour of the Vatican Gardens will allow us to walk through Vatican superb vistas, splendid plants and gardens, with plenty of ruins and monumental fountains. The main protagonist will be the Michelangelo's Dome, being visible from all over the Vatican Gardens.

On the other hand, it is beautiful to realize how much crowded can be the Vatican Museums while we will be strolling with no rush inside the Vatican Gardens. Of course, no lines to get into.

The Vatican Gardens are 54 acres size (108 acres is the total extension of the Vatican City State) corresponding to 22 hectares (total Vatican size is 44 hectares) and are magnificient.

All this tour will be possible thanks only through the official Vatican Guide, Dr. Cristiano Pellegrini.

NOTES on the Tour of the Vatican Gardens

1. This tour is possible in combination with any other Rome Tour, not only during the Cruise excursion to the Vatican City.

2. Running days: all days but Wednesday or Vatican Fiest Days, including Sunday.

3. The Direction of the Vatican Museums requires visitors being properly attired.
